The Noah Project

Rebuilding a sustainable world.

About

gandhi spinning khadi

The Noah Project is an information hub for people interested in alternative economic systems, sustainability and fair trade. Although we generally stay on course, we do occasionally stray to topics we deem interesting — from traditional cultures, literature,  the arts and crafts to spirituality and even folk tales.

If you are wondering where the name “The Noah Project” came from – it is based on the last few lines of Rumi’s poem “Spiritual Window Shoppers”

Start a huge, foolish project,

like Noah. It makes absolutely no difference what

people think of you.

  1. Namaste…thank you for visiting and following my blog. I look forward to following the great causes on your blog ~ Lakshmi

  2. How are you? I have nominated you for the “WordPress Family Award”. I consider you as one of the few inspirational bloggers here on wordpress. Kindly accept it and you may either pass it on according to rules or deny the rules.
Visit the link provided for info.:http://richardankerswrites.wordpress.com/2013/08/06/wordpress-family-award/

    • Richard, thanks for the nomination. I went to the link you provided to accept the award, but am not sure I did it right. I just copied the award and pasted it into a post and added all my information. Do I just add the addresses of other people I select for the award and post a comment on their blog or is there a way to do it en masse? An I required to add 15 people or can I add less? Thanks.

      • You’re doing it fine. I copied and pasted the lot from who nominated me, (shhhhh! I’m secretly useless at such stuff) you’re supposed to do 15 but I don’t think it would really matter. I think it needs doing individually so the links are done right. On the plus side, next time I nominate you you’ll fly through it 🙂

        • Thanks for getting back to me and for nominating me for the award. I’m finding blogging can be a addicting. I often have to turn the computer off to get anything done.

          • Glad the nomination was ok for you. Blogging is addictive and is wearing my phone battery out. (Always tinkling)
I should be writing long form but keep writing poems for the blog so I know what you mean 🙂

  4. Hi Daniela – just wanted to drop in and let you know I really find your posts valuable. Unfortunately I’ve not got time to explore each one, but they are on themes I’m aware of and find critically important. It’s always so encouraging to discover another mind focused similarly to mine! Your site becomes a good resource for examining what needs to be examined! Thank you!!

  6. Daniela, thank you for following my blog. I am glad to have discovered your site.

Sustainability, especially in agriculture, is a personal and professional passion of mine. I have worked with the Slow Money movement to help develop financing and marketing structures that help make organic farming more viable.

I look forward to following your blog. Keep up the great work!

    Peace,
    W. Ockham

  7. Daniela, How inspiring is this the whole assembly of all like minded voices rising in unison, which is your blog. Amazing.
