Organize to stop the Monsanto Protection Act

The Monsanto Protection Act—which became law in March—allows Monsanto and other large corporations to ignore existing food safety rules, and continue selling genetically modified seeds even if a court has blocked them from doing so.

It’s been called “one of the most outrageous special interest provisions in years,” and was even slipped in anonymously without review or debateinto a must-pass budget bill.

Now we have an opportunity to stop it. Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR) has proposed an amendment to the Senate Farm Bill that would repeal the Monsanto Protection Act—but it will take serious grassroots pressure to even make sure the amendment comes up for a vote.

Join Daily Kos and CREDO by signing our petition to demand that the U.S. Senate repeal the Monsanto Protection Act.
